Lovett Memorial Library
|
|
Bring identification with your current address to the library. If you are under 16 years of age, your parent or guardian must come with you.

New Resident Information
|
|
For water you can come to City Hall at 200 W Foster in the basement of City Hall. Bring a picture ID or drivers license and put up a $50.00 deposit on each water meter.

You will receive your water deposit back or it will be applied to any outstanding balance on your water account when you discontinue service.

The City of Pampa has Recycling Center located in Hobart Street Park. Their hours are Thursday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or call them on these days at (806)-669-5711.

No there is no transfer fee but any outstanding bill must be paid prior to transferring.

The City's responsibility ends on the back side of the meter connection which is the opposite of the meter valve. After the water goes through the meter it becomes the customer's water.

No, you are not charged for this water because it isn't going through the meter.

If you turn the water on or off and cause damage to the city valve you will be charged $150.00 for the valve replacement. Please call day or night to turn on or off your service . We have a service person on call day or night for this service. Please call (806)669-5810. According to the City of Pampa adopted 2003 International plumbing code section 606.1. (The customer must provide a valve on their service line past the meter to be used to isolate the customer water service.)

Yes you do, there are all sorts of contaminants lurking in your soil that can and will make you sick even to the point of death. Contaminates in the soil can find their way back into the water supply. Therefore, the City code requires a backflow preventer on each irrigation meter.

We have a 10 year meter change out program. As a part of our standard operating procedure we do take steps to insure that water is not being used before we turn the water off.

The markings in your alley may be for buried services, such as gas, sewer, water, cable, telephone. It could be the City has marked service lines for repair.
|

Please call the water office 669-5810 for water and sewer main locates. We will spot the City water main and the sewer main at no charge. We are not able to mark your lines on your property just the mains in the alley.

Call 1-800-DIG-TESS (1-800-344-8377). The Texas law says you must call before you dig and if you don't call for spots and damage an underground facility you will be billed for the damages. The hidden hazards of piplines in close proximity or under your property could be dangerous and deadly. Please call at least 2 business days but not more than 2 weeks before you dig.

Recreation Department

Yes, persons age 16 to 65 must have a valid Texas Fishing License to fish at Recreation Park.
|

Only non-motorized boats are allowed on the lake.
|

The minimum age for Adult Softball is 16, however youth tournaments are held at Recreation Park ccasionally, open to all ages. The minimum age for Adult Volleyball is 14 years.

No, the Complex is reserved for sanctioned leagues and tournaments.
|

Persons at least 16 years old must complete the American Red Cross Life Saving Course, then apply to the City of Pampa. Life guards are chosen each year based on experience and ability.

City Ordinance limits stays to a maximum of 14 consecutive days.

The County Judges Office rents the Clyde Carruth Pavilion (Bull Barn) and the Top of Texas Rodeo Association rents the outdoor open-air pavilion. County Judge’s office – 806 669-8007 Rodeo Association – 806 665-5420

The pavilion rents for $20 per day and is coordinated through the City Administration office at 806 669-5750.
