Sign Technician

Brief Job Description: 

Maintain all city signs, pavement markings, and all other jobs as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Replace and install traffic control signs, street markers and information signs. Install all pavement markings on city streets, parking lots and anywhere else assigned. Paint all school markings and arrows with stencils according to ciy ordinance. Assist the Crew Chief in the repair and maintenance of all traffic light systems by replacing bulbs, painting posts, or anyother repairs deemed necessary by the Crew Chief or Superintendent. 

Necessary and/or desirable Education:

Ability to obtain a class B CDL within 90 days of being hired. 

Necessary and/or Desirable Experience: 

Good computer skills are a must for creating signs. Ability to understand verbal and written job assignments, and the ability to work in hot and cold work environments.
