About Gary Winton
Gary Winton was elected to the Pampa City Commission, representing Ward 1, in May of 2017
Gary was a fire fighter and EMT for the City of Pampa from 1989 - 2009, and retired at the rank of Captain. During his 20 years of employment with the City, he also worked as a relief 911 operator and served on various employee committees.
Gary became a Texas REALTOR in 2008. He is a real estate agent for Century 21 - Boston & Company's Pampa Office.
After acquiring his Associates Degree in Fire Protection, Gary attained the level of Master Fire Fighter. On September 11, 2006, Pampa Fire Captain Winton was awarded the Star of Texas by Governor Rick Perry for injuries received in the line of duty while fighting wild range fires around Pampa in the spring of 2006.
As a third-generation builder, Gary and his Tinney and Winton families have built numerous homes in the city of Pampa. Through the years of 2012-2015, he was TruStar Real Estate's top producing Real Estate Agent in the entire state of Texas (all of his sales have been in Pampa and our surrounding communities).
Family & Community
Gary and his wife, Sheila, have been married since 1994. They have proudly raised four children. Their daughter, Kayli, lives in South Carolina with her family. They have three sons: Andrew and his family live in Amarillo while their youngest two sons, Daniel and Matthew, are both attending WTAMU. Gary and Sheila also have three grandchildren.
Commissioner Winton is a life-long Pampa resident. He, his mother, his wife and their three sons are all graduates of Pampa High School. Gary loves to spend his free time flipping houses as he finds the process very rewarding. He and Sheila are avid Texas Rangers fans.
