About Karen McLain

Karen McLain was elected to the Pampa City Commission representing Ward 4 in May of 2012. 


Commissioner McLain was born and raised in Pampa and graduated from Pampa High School in 1977.  She attended West Texas State University and Frank Phillips College.

She currently works for Chevron Phillips as a Shift Superintendent and serves as a volunteer Industrial Firefighter.  She hold a EMT-B Certification as well as a National Certification for teaching, installing and inspecting welding, piping, and plumbing for industrial applications.


Her family includes her mother who lives with her.  She has one son, Jesse McLain and a grandson, Nathan.

Commissioner McLain is a member of the 1st Christian Church. 

Her goal is to help make Pampa a place families will want to come and stay.
