About The City Attorney
The City Attorney is the general counsel for the City providing legal services including preparation of Ordinances, Resolutions, contracts and other legal documents. The City Attorney provides legal advice to the City Commission, City Departments and City representatives, attending meetings of the Staff and Commission.
Meet Pampa's City Attorney
Bryan Guymon was born in Sitka, Alaska and he grew up in Providence, Utah. He began his legal career in Pampa in 2009 when he joined the Underwood Law Firm. He loves living and working in the Texas Panhandle. He began serving as City Attorney in January 2020.
Bryan completed his undergraduate work at Utah State University, where he graduated cum laude with Bachelor of Art degrees in History and International Studies with a minor in Russian. In 2006, Bryan and his family moved to Lubbock, Texas to attend Texas Tech University School of Law where he graduated cum laude with his Doctor of Jurisprudence and Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning degrees. In addition to his focus area of Municipal Law, he maintains a broad-based general practice of law.
He has served as President of Pampa Lions Club and currently serves on the boards of directors for Fairview Cemetery Association, Pampa Youth & Community Center, and Clarendon College Pampa Center Foundation.
Bryan and his wife, Janelle, have been married since 2004 and they have 5 children. They are actively involved in the Pampa Ward and Amarillo Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
