Firefighter

Protects life and property by performing firefighting, emergency aid, hazardous materials, and fire prevention duties. Maintains fire equipment, apparatus, and facilities.

SALARY RANGE: $3511 Monthly
WORK SCHEDULE: 12-hour shifts

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 18 years or older at the time of employment;  Must possess, or be able to obtain by time of hire, valid State driver’s license without record of suspension or revocation in any State and able to obtain a Class B driver’s license within six months of hire date; No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal histories within the past seven years;  U.S. citizen; Must be able to read and write the English language; Must be of good moral character and of temperate and industrious habits; High school diploma or GED equivalent; Obtain, and/or maintain, TCFP Basic Structural Firefighter certification per the requirements set forth by a chosen provider and by The State of Texas and throughout duration of employment; Obtain, and/or maintain, a current EMT-B license (at minimum) within one year of being enrolled in a course, and throughout duration of employment.
