Police Officer
The Pampa Police Department currently has openings for the position of Police Officer. To be considered, an applicant must be a TCOLE-certified Peace Officer, or currently enrolled in a Basic Peace Officer Academy. The salary range for this entry-level position is $50,510 - $56,002, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional step-based salary increases exist with non-supervisory Peace Officer pay topping out at $57,962 a year.
Additional Monthly Incentive pay is as follows:
Education-based - Associate Degree: $75 Bachelor Degree: $100
Certificate-based - Intermediate Peace Officer: $75 Advanced Peace Officer: $150 Master Peace Officer: $200
Assignment-based pay incentives up to $500

Telecommunicator
The Pampa Police Department also has openings for the position of 9-1-1 Telecommunicator. This entry-level position requires no prior experience. Applicant must meet the minimum standards for licensing by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. The starting annual salary range for this position is $38,341 ($18.43 hr) to $46,603 ($22.41 hr). Additional step-based salary increases exist with pay up to $51,380 (24.70 hr). This position does require shift work, subject to working nights, weekends, and holidays.
10-hour shifts, 4 day work week
